Summary:
The movie Tomb Raider: Ascension is a fan produced motion picture which portrays the young Lara Croft. Lara survived from a plane crash but her mother died of the accident. She ventured to know the truth about her missing father and brother who are both archaeologists. The main thing to be solved in the story is to locate the sacred Ascension Stone which has something to do with her father’s work. A sacred artifact created by the ancient Mayan Civilization in Mexico hundreds of years ago, believed to hold the secrets behind the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012. The main cast of characters of the film played well their part especially the lead star. Lara’s character was well supported by their family butler named Winston who taught her the secrets of the stone. Her adventure to England to search the sacred stone was guided by what was found at the back of a painting given to her by her father when she was young. Knowing that is was a pre-quel which happened before the two films was shown, the setting is more relaxed and carefree. What is more noticeable is the missing presence of “Angelina Jolie’s prowess” in action portayal. Aside from that, the Ascension Stone was kept and stolen by a man who escaped when young Lara Croft entered the mine deep in England. She fought against the men who were having a meeting inside the mine deep. She found the Ascension Stone but she was attacked by her enemies. After killing her last enemy, she swam in the waters which led to the end of the pre-quel showing a couple who are taking pictures outside the mine deep…
